Amazing morning at MES! So lucky to have MHS Football players visit classrooms and speak to students about ways they show respect and responsibility on and off the field. #19EveryStudent #MESProud https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TNeeAI2Tq1LI7t5G1soJB1mteefxiYDJ/view?usp=sharing

Amazing Generosity in Mascoutah! As the holiday season comes to a close, I just wanted to take a moment to thank all the MES families and staff members who donated so generously to help others in our school community. Let me share a couple stories with you that touched my heart this season. This fall one of our MES families had a tragic house fire and felt the love and support of our community. This family then wanted to reach out and touch the lives of others. The parents of these students reached out to me in early December and asked if they could donate some money to Santa's Cottage at MES to help some students shop for others who normally would not have had the resources. To my surprise, they dropped off $500 in cash. This $500 made it possible for dozens and dozens of our students to shop and feel the spirit of giving during this holiday season. I received another phone call from an MES parent and business owner in town. She asked if she could donate some money to pay off lunch charges for families that might be struggling this year. To my surprise, $600 was dropped off for this cause. This money was divided up and used to pay the lunch balances of dozens of MES students. Lastly thanks to the many MES staff members who also shopped and donated presents, clothes, and food to our school community, positively impacting the lives of over 65 of our students. We are so fortunate to live in such a generous and caring community. Happy New Year, Mascoutah! #MESProud #19EveryStudent

MES students donated tons of items to the local Humane Society as a service project this month to reach out and help others. 2nd and 5th Grade buddies in Mrs. Hoerchler and Mrs. Crismon's class, made special homemade toys for animals. #MESProud
