As we approach the holiday season, we would like to take a moment to extend our sincere gratitude to our families, students, faculty, and staff for the continued success of our schools. This success is a direct result of the collective efforts of our entire community working together, and it is something we can all take great pride in.
This year has been particularly noteworthy. Mascoutah Elementary School was named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education, joining Scott Elementary School as a previous recipient of this prestigious honor. Additionally, Wingate Elementary School earned an exceptional achievement, rising from a Commendable rating in 2023 to Exemplary status, the highest rating given by the Illinois State Board of Education. With this recognition, all three of our elementary schools are now designated as Exemplary. Furthermore, Scott Elementary and Mascoutah Middle School were ranked as the top public elementary and middle schools in St. Clair County by the Belleville News-Democrat.
