Preschool/ Early Childhood

preschool for all

Mascoutah Elementary School has two Preschool For All classrooms, funded by the Illinois State Board of Education Early Childhood Block Grant. This is a program for at-risk students.   Enrollment in the classroom is based on need.  Need is determined during a screening process and the number of at-risk factors for the student and family. The program enrolls eighty students per school year.  A waiting list of students is kept throughout the school year.

The program meets for half day sessions.
The morning session is from 8:15 am - 11:00 am.
The afternoon session is from 12:40 pm - 3:25 pm.

Screening for the program is held in the second semester for the following school year.  Other screening dates are held as needed throughout the school year.
Upcoming Screening Dates for 2017-2018
